Sharon Rowlett

Sharon Gay Rowlett, 67 of Harlan passed away on Tuesday March 19, 2019 at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Sharon was born May 7, 1951 in Harlan to the late Doyle and Zittidene Rowlett. She was retired after 17 years from the housekeeping department of the Harlan ARH Hospital. She believed in the Baptist Faith.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by brother, Edward Rowlett; a special aunt, Vittidene Robinson.

She is survived by her son, David Rowlett of Harlan; grandson, Bobby (Lauren) Rowlett of Louisville; sister, Karen (Gary) Stewart of  Rio Vista; sister in law, Rebecca Rowlett of Brookville, OH; step mother, Freda Rowlett of Loyall; Special friends who visited her at the nursing home, Donna Duncan, Vickie Baker, and Mary Daniels; special lifelong friend, Patricia Riley Taylor; she also leaves several niece, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday (March 22) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm Friday (March 22) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Philip Green officiating.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday (March 23) in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery chapel just prior to service time.

Memorials are suggested to the Harlan Co. Humane Society in memory of Sharon.
