Michael Thomas

Michael Gene Thomas of Dizney, KY died March 21, 2022 with his family by his side. Born on August 29th, 1955 to the late Jess and Mary Thomas, he resided in Harlan all his life. He loved watching sports whether it was his boys playing football and baseball or his beloved Green Bay Packers. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Deona Morton and Evelyn Kelly both of Ages, KY, three brothers: Arnold Thomas (Bonnie) of Gladwin, MI, Wendell Thomas (Linda) of Scottsburg, IN, and Ken “Coalbucket” Thomas (Charletta) of Harrison, MI.

He is survived by his loving wife Darlene of 38 years and his three sons: Joel of Dizney, KY,  Matthew and his daughter Amaris of Dizney, KY and Benjamin (Brittany) and their son Jayden of Crestwood, KY along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A gathering of Family and friends will be 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday (March 24) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Military rites will be observed by the Harlan Honor guard at 6:00 pm Thursday (March 24) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
