Harry Shepherd, Jr.

Harry B. Shepherd, Jr. 82 of Fairfield Glade, TN passed away at his home on July 29, 2020.

Having been born in Harlan, KY to the late Harry B. and Martha Wilson Shepherd, he attended Harlan High School where he lettered in Football. Sonny, as he was called by his mom and dad, or Red to his friends vowed to never work in the coal mines of Harlan Co, so upon graduation he entered the United States Navy. He traveled the world and after 23 years of honorable service retired in Jacksonville, FL. Harry was proud to be a Shriner in Jacksonville and later in Fairfield Glade, TN

He was predeceased by his wife Henrietta Shepherd; his parents; and younger brother, Dallas Wayne Shepherd.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Lynn Shepherd and Milton Wayne Shepherd; brother, Jerry Shepherd; stepsons, Donald, Joseph, and Steve Roberts; granddaughters, Summer, Alana, and Lilly.

A graveside service with full Military Honors was held 11:00 am Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Jacksonville Memorial Gardens in Orange Park, FL.
