Guy Phillip Howard

Guy Phillip Howard, 70 of Loyall, KY, beloved husband, father, and son passed away peacefully Tuesday evening of June 22, 2021 following a battle with cancer with his family and friends by his side.
Phillip was born October 8, 1950  in Harlan, KY to Beatrice Willis Howard and the late Guy Howard. He attended Loyall Elementary School, and then graduated from Cawood High School. He was retired form Southern Wholesale where he worked as a sales clerk and believed in the Baptist faith. He loved his dogs and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Guy Howard; his nephew, Russell Howard.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kay Wilhoit Howard; his brother, Lanny Howard; his children, Carla Howard and Joshua Howard; two grandchildren, Christopher and Chloe Torres; sister in laws, Kim (Larry) White, and Shirley Thompson; brother in law, Jim Wilhoit; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
A private visitation will be held for his family at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
A public graveside service will be held 12:00 pm Saturday (June 26) at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel at Keith, KY with Rev. Larry White officiating.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with David Lewis, Ed Taylor, Steve Hendrickson, Jim Wilhoit, Kelly Thompson, and Mike Forester serving as Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 2972 S. US Highway 25E, Barbourville, KY 40906 in memory of Phillip.
