Emma Mitchell, 90 of Cawood passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Harlan ARH with family by her side.
She was born on Wednesday, May 20, 1925 in Harlan, KY to the late Hiram and Mary Pennington Osborn. She was a homemaker and believed in the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, McKinley Mitchell; her children, Frank, Merle, Arthur, McKinley, Jr, and Jerry Wayne Mitchell.
She is survived by her husband, William Tinsley of Cawood; her sons, Danny (Joyce) Mitchell of Florida, Roger Mitchell of Florida, Terry Mitchell of Cawood, Dennis (Kristie) Mitchell of Harlan; her daughters, Brenda (James) Brackett of Keith, and Jolene (Sidney, Jr) Fee of Cawood; daughter in law, Elizabeth Mitchell of Wallins, KY; her sister, Viola Bumgardner of Harlan; 23 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 – 9 Tuesday (June 30) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday (July 1) in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Don Smith and Rev. Howard Farmer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mitchell Family Cemetery at Cawood, KY with Family and Friends serving as Pallbearers.
