Danny Glen Perkins, Sr. 68 of Rio Vista passed away on Tuesday morning of March 23, 2021 at the home of his son following a brief illness.
Danny was born March 3, 1953 in London, KY to the late John and Ethel Lawson Perkins. He was a retired truck driver and member of the Church of God of the Free People. He enjoyed fishing, his grandchildren, and recently attending church. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Nancy Sykes Perkins; 2nd wife, Alta Lowe Perkins; granddaughter, Amber Hughett; brothers, David, Nathan, and Charles Perkins; sisters, Wilma Massingale and Grace Smith.
He is survived by his children, Danny Glen (Betty) Perkins, Jr, Derrick Perkins, and Shaunaka (Jerimiah) Ross; step children, Robert Hughett and Lemma Hughett; grandchildren, Danny, III, and Lindsay Perkins, Tommy Hughett, Silas Grubbs, Madison, Ethan, and Savannah Napier; great grandchildren, Choloe, Bexlee, and Sydnee; brothers, Gerstel, Linville, and Marvin (Rhonda) Perkins; sisters, Faye Jones, Frieda Perkins, and Debbie Dean; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday (March 25) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm Friday (March 26) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Vonnie Jones and Rev. Allen Jones officiating. Music will be provided by Stanley and Lawana Blevins.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY. Pallbearers will be Frieda and family.
Covid-19 Restrictions of 60% of our capacity, face masks, and social distancing all set by the Governor of Kentucky shall be followed.
