Wilma Price

Wilma Lee Price, 70 of Sunshine, entered her eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on May 13, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was of the Baptist faith and was born in Cawood, KY on September 7, 1945 to the late Lee and Minerva Vaughn Osborne. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years William Paul Price; brother, Ralph Osborne, sister, Novella Napier.

Wilma attended Cawood Elem. School and James A. Cawood High School. Over the years she had worked at Sunshine Daycare Center, a cafeteria worker for the Harlan Independent School, cashier at Super 10 Store, and she would also babysit, attend and sit with the elderly, worked for the Western Sizzlin Steak House, and was an attendant for the local arcade in the 80’s. Wilma loved to be around people and help anyone she could; an avid animal lover and had many pets over the years. Wilma loved to work on puzzles, do word search, loved working on flowers, and loved going to yard sales. She loved being outside as much as she could during the spring and summer. She loved spending time with her family and was most proud of her 2 grandsons and recent addition of her 1st granddaughter.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Price (Bryan) Hensley of Harlan; grandsons, James Christopher (Cassie) Owens of Springfield, KY, and Nicholas Paul Hensley of Harlan; 1 great granddaughter, Cheslee Jean Owens; 1 brother, Tom (Wanda) Osborne of Cumberland; special friend, Debra Fields; she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be Monday (May 16) from 5 until 7:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services 11:00 am Tuesday in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Adkisson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with Christopher Owens, Nicholas Paul Hensley, Ralph Osborne, Jr, John Benjamin Swanson, Tim Howard, and Richard Robbins serving as Pallbearers.
