Wilma Long

Wilma Jean Long, 76, of New Tazewell, TN formerly of Loyall, KY went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Tri-State Health and Rehab with her family by her side. Wilma was born on May 18, 1946 in Middlesboro, KY to the late Johnie and Thelma Comer Leath. Wilma was a faithful member of Sunshine Baptist Church. She retired from Kentucky Utility after 29 years of service.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Donahue Long; brother, Paul Edward Leath.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Mike Long (Tammy) of Teetersville, KY; daughter, Bridget Long of New Tazewell, TN; grandson, Michael Long; granddaughter, Katelyn Jones; great grandson, Braxton Jones; sister, Wanda Morton of New Tazewell,TN; along with a host of several special extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home. a funeral service will follow with Rev. Ralph Whitaker and Rev. Jerry Kinney officiating.

A committal service will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
