Virginia "Maxine" Baker

   Virginia "Maxine" Baker, 85 of Baxter passed away peacefully on Saturday evening of August 5, 2023 at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center.
   Maxine was born March 13, 1938 in Coldiron, KY to the late Hedgel and Susie Brummett Saylor. She was a homemaker who loved collecting dolls. She believed in the Holiness faith.
   Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Baker; siblings, Ellis, Gladys, Clifford, Babe, Ruth, Vine, Sarah and Cora; son in law, Joel Farley.
   She is survived by her loving children, Susie Durham Farley and George (Loren) Durham; grandchildren, Lisa Farley (Joe Edwards), Dustin (Crystal) Farley, Liilian and Jacob Durham;  two great grandchildren, Seth Farley and Brady Farley; she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
    A memorial service honoring the life of Maxine will be held at 2:00 pm Friday (Aug. 11) in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Arnold Martin officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Janice Lawson.
