Violet Rosalee Lewis

Violet Rosalee Lewis, 67 of Harlan, KY formerly of Chappell, KY passed away on Saturday of January 26, 2019 at the Harlan ARH.

Violet was born March 7, 1951 in Harlan to the late Benny and Susan Farler Adams. She was a homemaker and was raised in the Alex Branch Church of Christ, and was currently a member at Poorfork Church of Christ in Rosspoint.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Larry Richard Lewis; sisters, Gladys Coots, Goldie Daughtry, Mary Turner, Gloria (Forest) Lewis, and Sarah Turner Blair; brothers, Hearl Adams; brother in law; Claude Huff Jr.; special nephew for whom she raised like a son, Ricky Hendrix.

She is survived by her sons; Logan (Jennifer) Lewis of Chappell, KY and Travis Lewis of Harlan, KY, granddaughter whom she raised as a daughter; Kayla Lewis of Harlan, KY, grandchildren; Kaideynce Lewis of Chappell, KY and KiKi Lewis of Chappell, KY, sisters; Shirley Miniard of Big Laurel, KY and Sina Huff of Big Laurel, KY, special nieces and nephews; Pamela Huff of Harlan, KY, Jason (Angie) Huff of Bledsoe, KY, Garrison Huff of Bledsoe, KY, Melinda (Eddie) Johnson of Loyall, KY , Mandy Lewis of Loyall, KY, and Roger Johnson of Loyall, KY; former daughter-in-law; Cyndi Smith of Lexington, KY, dear friends; Bridgette Short and Cathy Nantz, fur babies; Daisy and Raider.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday (Feb. 2) in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Yonker and Rev. Nathan Boggs officiating.

Burial will follow in the Adams Family Cemetery on Greasy Creek Road in Big Laurel, KY. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday (Feb. 1) in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
