Vicki Mae Hall Roland, age 63, of Owenton, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on July 19, 2021. Vicki fought hard to battle several health crises, with grit and faith, for over seven long years.
She was born August 22, 1957, in Harlan County, to the late Hubert and Sylvia Larkey Hall. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Joanna Hall Shepherd, Benita Hall Decker, Norma Hall Collins, Mike Hall, and James Hall. Vickie was a 1975 graduate of James A. Cawood High School and was a Harlan County deputy sheriff under two administrations, in the late 1970s and early 80s. She went on to serve as a pretrial services officer for the Administrative Office of the Courts in Fayette and Jefferson counties. Vicki's faith was very important to her and remained until her passing, she was a member of Harlan Church of God. She loved life and family, her biggest joy was when the family was gathered together. She was beautiful inside and out and wore her heart on her sleeve. She will be remembered by her husband as his beautiful brown-eyed mountain woman. Vickie was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, especially handmade quilts, and cooking
Vicki will be missed by her husband of 30 years, Danny Roland. They were married on June 19, 1991; her siblings, Roger (Lisa) Hall, Helen Hall (Bob) King, Pamela Hall (Roger) Babb, Jane Hall (Fred) Seale, Melanie Hall, and Paula (Greg) Webb; her special niece, Stephanie Seale Thorpe; her step-children, Kepple (Tara) Roland, Brian (Stella) Roland, and Amanda Bridges; eleven step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
At Vicki's request, there will be no services.
