Shirley Stewart

   Shirley Stewart, 74 of Cranks passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
   Shirley was born February 3, 1949 in Verda, KY to the late Guy and Rosa Irvin McMillian. She attended the Cawood Church of God Mountain Assembly.
   Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband George "Buddy" Stewart; her sisters, Melvina McMillian Jones, Reba McMillian Painter and Wilma Jean Burkhart; brothers, Hiram, Michael and Richard McMillian.
    She is survived by her three sons; Roger (Margie) Stewart of Cranks KY., Kenneth (Sherry) Stewart of Rosspoint, KY., and Jimmy (Judy) Stewart of Cranks KY; her six grandchildren, Monica (Patrick) Middleton, Jimmy (Megan) Stewart Jr., Raeann (Jamie) Couch, Regina Napier, Cassie Napier, and  James Miller; her great grandchildren Kathy Sue Middleton, Kenidy Faith Middleton, and Hailey Skidmore; her sisters, Patricia McMillian Clem of Walins, Rita McMillian of Harlan and Kathleen McMillian Stewart of Cawood; she leaves a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. including her brother in law, Sherman Stewart; sister in law, Graice (Don) Brooksher.
    Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm Wednesday (Sept. 27) at the Riverside Church of God in Cawood, KY. 
    Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday (Sept. 28) at the Riverside Church of God with Rev. Franklin Stewart officiating. 
    Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery at Cawood.
    Pallbearers will be Patrick Middleton, Jimmy Stewart, Jr, Walter Bruce, Sherman Stewart, Mark Burkhart, Jamie Couch and James Goldesberry.
