Sherman D. Stewart, 69 of Smith, KY passed away Wednesday evening of December 4, 2025.
Sherman was born August 15, 1956 in Harlan to the late Pope and Mildred Childers Stewart. He was a retired Coal Miner who enjoyed fishing and working on any type of vehicle.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Bruce and his brother, George "Buddy" Stewart.
He is survived by his sister, Gracie Brooksher of Russellville, KY; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends, including 2 special friends, Beverly Gentry and Jean Cooper.
Visitation will be Friday (Dec. 12) from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the Riverside Church of God in Cawood, KY. Services will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Franklin Stewart officiating.
A private burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery at Cawood, KY.
