Sarah Jane Farmer

   Sarah Jane Farmer, 84 of Harlan passed away in the early morning hours of Friday February 9, 2024 at the Harlan ARH.

   Sarah was born January 7, 1940 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Chester and Illie Frost. She was retired from the Harlan County Justice Center. She attended Immanuel Baptist Church. Sarah enjoyed going to church, reading her Bible, and watching Wheel of Fortune. 

   Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband; Daniel Farmer, her sisters; Ora Cecil Lugo and Verna Nagel. 

   She is survived by her son; Timothy Farmer, her sister; Christine (Bobby) Hudson, special friend; Marie Burnette, her church family, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

   Visitation will be Monday (Feb. 12) from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

   Funeral services will follow on Monday (Feb. 12) at 1:00 PM at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Arnold Marin officiating. 

   Burial will follow the funeral services at the Browning Cemetery in Cranks, Kentucky.
