Sam J. France, 73 of Loyall passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Harlan ARH.
Sam was born July 8, 1945 in Pineville, KY to the late Anthrel and Mariaum Stanton France. He was a graduate of Hall High School and received a BS in Health & Physical Education at Cumberland College. He was a school teacher for over 20 years and he coached Basketball, Football, and Baseball at Evarts High School.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Wilma Bolton France.
Survivors include his son, Anthrel Mark France of Loyall; brothers, Dickey Dan (Shirley) France of Bobs Creek, and John M. (Linda) France of Lexington; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Friday (June 21) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 6:00 pm with Bro. Charles Moore & Rev. Zeke Moore officiating.
Graveside services will be 12:00 pm Saturday (June 22) at the Resthaven Cemetery, Keith, KY. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery chapel just prior to the service.
