Ruth Lovina Howard, 81 of Fresh Meadows, KY passed away Saturday May 11, 2013 at the Harlan ARH.
She was born September 9, 1931 in Harlan to the late Napolean and Clara Josephine Lisenbee Johnson. She believed in the Holiness faith.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Chester Howard; a daughter, Shirley Howard; 2 brothers, Otis and Stanley Johnson; 4 sisters, Zelma Cooper, Estel Farley, Pearl Sharp, and Elsey Hill.
She is survived by her husband Reed Emerson Howard of Fresh Meadows; six children, David Howard of Sawbriar, Donnie Howard of Baxter, Linda Estes of Fresh Meadows, Noble Howard of Baxter, Eddie Howard of Indianapolis, IN, and Bruce Howard of Hermitage, TN; 1 brother, Charles Johnson; 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday May 16, 2013 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones with Rev. Jack Carmical officiating.
Burial will follow in the Park Howard Cemetery, Wallins.
