Ruby Mccrary

Ruby Crider McCrary, 93 of London formerly of Harlan Co. passed from this life on Monday May 8, 2017 at the St. Joseph-London.

Ruby was born Jan. 11, 1924 in Evarts, KY to the late Andrew and Leona Cornett Crider. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and adored her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. For the last 11 years Ruby had resided in London and was a member of the Hart Baptist Church. Before moving she was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Harlan.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gillis McCrary; sisters, Juanita Crider Stines, Billie Jean Crider, and infant twin sister, Ruth Crider.

Ruby is survived by her son Rick (Alice) McCrary of London; 2 grandchildren, Melissa and Eric; five great grandchildren; and her brother, James (Joyce) Crider of Loyall. She was a devoted Christian woman, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Honoring her wishes a private visitation will be held at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with a committal service to follow at the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY. Prayer and scripture will be read by Dr. Terrell Bradley of the Hart Baptist Church.
