Ronnie "Lonnie" Fields

   Ronnie 'Lonnie' Fields, a resident of Verda, Kentucky, passed away on October 10, 2024, at the age of 64, following a brief illness. He was born on January 31, 1960, to Winslow and Lula Fields. 

   Ronnie graduated from Evarts High School and was an enthusiastic fan of Kentucky Basketball. He also enjoyed working on word puzzles and doing odd jobs for Coleman Hardware Store. Not only that, he would also make sure to keep Carlisa’s yard in great shape and loved helping her decorate her home for Christmas. 

   In addition to his parents, Winslow and Lula Fields he is preceded in death by his sisters Paulette Cottrell, Dorothy Fields and Thelma Fields; his brother, Raymond Fields; and nephew Marcus Fields. 

   He is survived by his sisters Susan, Rosie, Marie, and brothers Winslow Jr, Thomas, Richard, Jimmy, Timothy, Robert and special niece Jacqueline. A host of nieces, nephews, and special friends, including Benny Dale Coleman and Carlisa Pugh, will also cherish his memory. 

   The family will receive friends at Turner Baptist Church, Verda, Ky on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service. 

   Burial will take place at Evarts Memorial Gardens in Verda, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

   The family would like to express their appreciation to the nursing staff who provided care and support to Ronnie during his short illness.
