Robert 'Rob" Franklin Simpson, 68, of Cranks, KY went to be with the Lord on Friday September 18 at his home surrounded by his family. He believed in the Holiness faith. Rob was a retired coal miner and a skilled craftsman who spent many years self-employed in construction and woodworking. He enjoyed four wheeling, nascar racing, and being in the mountains.

  He is preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Rebecca Day Simpson. His siblings Ricky Simpson, Johnny Simpson, and Rebecca Ann Harvey, His daughter Cherish Michelle Stewart and grandson Jordan Blade Ledford.

  Rob is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy Simpson. His children Christy Ledford (Vernon) of Richmond, KY, Robert "Brandon" Simpson of Richmond, KY, and Jonathan Simpson (Michelle) of Cranks, KY. His grandchildren Sasha Dempsey (Ryan), Sabrina Turner (Rick), Alexis Rogers (Shane), Savannah Smith (Kevin), Gracie Simpson, Ally Simpson, Aiden Stewart, and Madison Simpson. His brother Tony Simpson of Cranks, KY and sister Patricia "Pat" Fields of Mary Alice, KY. His mother in law Loretta Couch of Kildav, KY. He is also survived by his 12 great great grandchildren. Rob leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives to mourn his passing.

  Visitation will be from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Saturday September 26 at the Anderson Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

  Funeral will follow at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral home with Brother Steven Ray officiating.

  Burial will follow at Surgener Amazing Grace Cemetery in Cranks, KY.
