Robert Lewis Hensley, Sr, 77, of Wallins passed away on Monday September 9, 2019 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
Robert was born June 8, 1942 in Smith, KY, to the late Denver and Ida Forti Hensley. He was a retired coal miner and was an electrician & repairman for Terry Glen Coal Co.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a son Robert Lewis Hensley, Jr; sisters, Clara Hensley and Donna Adams.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patsy Hensley; sons, Greg Hensley, and Lane (Jennifer) Hensley; grandchildren, Kasey, Justine, Alayna Hensley; brothers, Norman (Shirley) Hensley, Leon (Cathy) Hensley, and Dennis (Sandy) Hensley; sisters, Beulah (Lloyd) Moses and Teresa (Gale) McMurray; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday (Sept. 13) at the Kentenia Full Gospel Church in Wallins.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Greg Abraham and Pastor Ed Houston officiating.
Burial will be 12:00 pm Saturday (Sept.14) at the Park Howard Cemetery in Wallins. Family & Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery just prior to service time.
