Obituary

5th District Constable Robert Harrison Haywood, 56 of Wallins, KY passed away suddenly on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Robert was born August 2, 1969 in Harlan, KY to the late Robert Kenneth and Dorothy Honeycutt Haywood. Robert was a 1987 graduate of James A. Cawood High School, having never missed a day of school while attending there. He had served as Constable for 24 years, where he loved serving his community, he recently was re-elected to another term in office. He was a Kentucky Colonel, loved traveling and spending time with family. He believed in the Methodist Faith.

Besides her parents he is preceded by his brothers, Rocky Haywood and Kenneth Haywood.

He is survived by his loving family, his brother, Adam (Claire) Haywood of Wallins, KY; his sisters, Bobbie Vendetta (Robert) Crider of Wallins, KY and Bernadine Haywood of Orlanda, FL; he leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 Tuesday July 7, 2026 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home, 114 S. 3rd Street, Harlan, KY 40831.

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm Tuesday July 7, 2026 in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. John Lundy officiating.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday July 8, 2026 at the Park Howard Cemetery in Wallins, KY. Famiiy and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 am to go in procession to the cemetery.
