Richard Cameron Short, 61 of Lejunior passed away on Wednesday Sept. 14, 2016 at his home.
Richard was born Jan. 11, 1955 in Norton, VA to Kenneth and Bobbie Posey Short. He was a retired Brick Mason, He believed in the Holiness Faith and was a member of the House of Prayer In Jesus Name Church, Lejunior, KY.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Short; infant son, Richard Cameron Short, Jr. Paternal grandparents, Denver C. and Myrtle L. Short; maternal grandparents, Robert C. and Laura Willis Posey.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Witt Short of Lejunior, KY; sons, Jeremiah (Terriann) Holbrook of Honolulu, HI, Lloyd (Tamera) Sargent, and Randy (Crystal) Sargent all of Florida; daughters, Jerri Lynn (Holbert) Miracle of Lejunior, KY and Barbie (Ernest Dale) Middleton of Rockwell, NC; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Anita Short of California, Sondra Short of Texas, Toni Johnson of Baileys Creek, Reba Hensley of Harlan, Linda Glisson of Evarts, and Tammy Short of Pound, VA; he leaves other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday (Sept. 18) at the House of Prayer in Jesus Name on Philpot Lane in Lejunior, KY with Rev. John Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens at Verda with Ernie Middleton, Cody Wynn, Richard Short, Cliff Wilson, Levi Monroe, and Hobert Miracle.
Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Friday (Sept. 16) until the funeral hour on Sunday at the Church.
