Richard Wayne "Humphammer" Phillips, 77 of Stanfill, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Harlan ARH.

Wayne was born on August 7, 1947 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Cleta Hatfield Balltrip. He was a retired coal miner, having worked on strip jobs. He was a deacon and member of Liggett Baptist Church, but was presently attending Pansy Baptist Church.

Besides his mother, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Josie Hatfield.

He is survived by his loving wife, Von Phillips, his daughters, Patty (Jonathan) Perkins and De (Jackie Ray) Clem, his grandkids, Kelsey (Jake) Halcomb of Georgetown, KY, Emily (Ronnie) Lewis of Georgetown, KY, and Ethan Clem of Harlan, KY, his great-grandkids, Ari, Isaac, Liam, and Chester all of Georgetown, KY, his brother, Roddy (Janice) Phillips of Germantown, OH, and a special brother, Charles (Carolyn) Hatfield. He also leaves behind a host of many other family members and friends to mourn his passing.

Graveside service will be on Saturday (June 7) at 11:00 AM at the Resthaven Cemetery with Jackie Ray Clem officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery just prior to service time.
