Rev. Larry Gene White

   Rev. Larry Gene White, 65 of Lawnvale, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening of October 11, 2023 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.
   Larry was born December 25, 1957 in Harlan Co. to Dorothy Pryor White and the late Ernest White. Over the years Larry enjoyed working with the public by selling Life Insurance, working as a Butcher for Whites Grocery in Evarts, and ending his career as Caretaker of Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY. For many years Larry served as a Baptist Minister, having Pastored at Ages, North Evarts and Evarts Baptist Church's. He served as assistant Pastor at Calvary and Putney Baptist Church's.
   Besides his father he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry, Bobby and Ernie White; sisters, Susan Hobbs and Judy Wilhoit; sister in law, Karen Wilhoit.
   Besides his beloved mother Dorothy, he is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kimberly Wilhoit White; daughters, Leslie (Aaron) Shell, Ashley (Matthew) Estep, and Allison Good; grandchildren, Drew Shell, Grace Blanton, Sarah Blanton, Jordan Blanton, and Booker Estep; brothers, Paul (Lisa) White, Michael (Angie) White, James (Shelia) White, and Jack (Rhonda) White; sisters, Marcella (Robert) Huckleby and Janice (Jim) Craig; sisters-in-law, Janet White, Katherine White, Glenda White, Kay Howard, and Shirley Thompson; brothers-in-law, John Hobbs and Jim Wilhoit. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives to mourn his passing.
   Visitation will be 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Saturday (Oct. 14) at Teetersville Baptist Church. 
   Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm on Saturday (Oct. 14) at Teetersville Baptist Church with Dr. Roy Lucas officiating. 
   Burial will follow at the Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY with his nephews will serve as Pallbearers at the church, then his friends of the Harlan Honor Guard will serve as Pallbearers at the cemetery. 
   Flowers are welcomed, but the family suggests memorials be made to the Harlan Honor Guard, PO Box 704, Baxter, KY 40806, in memory of Larry.
