Ramona "Monie" Ellis

Ramona Elizabeth "Monie" Ellis, 68 of Loyall passed away Thursday afternoon of September 11, 2025 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Monie was born February 8, 1957 in Harlan to the late Clarence Edward and Isabella Cavins Ellis. She was retired from the Harlan ARH where she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. She was an avid NASCAR fan and had a true love for her dogs and cats. She believed in the Baptist Faith.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by two nieces, Heather Leigh McClung and Amy Sanders and her husband Roy; brother, Ken Bowling.

She is survived by her sisters, Sharon (Clarence) Epperson of Baxter, Phyllis Bowling of Baxter, Marsha (William) Epperson of Loyall and Pat (Jack) McClung of Loyall. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm Monday (Sept.15) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Paul White officiating.

Burial will be 12:00 pm Tuesday (Sept. 16) at the Middlesboro Cemetery with Rev. David Jones officiating,
