Phyllis Truitt

Phyllis Ann Truitt, 69 of Harlan passed away on Tuesday of January 1, 2019 at the Harlan ARH.

Phyllis was born January 20, 1949 in Harlan to the late Tom and Virginia Truitt. She was a homemaker and believed in the Holiness faith.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by two sons, Tommy and Robert “Tang” Harris; one daughter, Ruby Harris; three brothers, Dillard, Delbert, and Tommy Truitt; three sisters, Elana Ransdall, Susie and Fredia Truitt; daughter-in-law, Charlene Harris.

She is survived by two sons, Brent (Nancy) Harris and Ryan “Rino” Harris; daughter, Whitney Barger; daughter-in-law, Karen Harris; grandchildren, Montana Harris, Brent (Kimberly) Hammonds, Ruby Harris, Haley Harris, Kyle and Tommy Harris, Donavan Harris, Josh Woodard, Jimmy Ray Locke, Charles, Stevie, and Derrick Clem; one great granddaughter, Heaven Harris; two brothers, David (Sharon) Truitt and Garrett (Lillian) Truitt; special caregivers, Maggie Mills, Steve Mefford, Renea Sizemore, Becky Hammonds, James Hammonds; good friends, Gary Bonham and Charlene Hammonds; she also leaves several nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday (Jan. 5) in the Chapel of the Anderson- Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Bro. Henry Hammonds and Bro. Christopher Hampton officiating. Music will be by Julia Hammonds.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY. Pallbearers will be James Hammonds, Stevie Mefford, Jevon Hubbard, Zachery Hammonds, David Harris, and James Harris.

Visitation is after 11:00 am until the funeral hour, Saturday (Jan. 5) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
