Paul Bailey

October 10, 1926 — June 14, 2015

Paul L. Bailey, 88 of Wallins, Kentucky passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 in Pineville, Kentucky.  Paul was born Sunday, October 10, 1926 to the late David and Mary Blanton Bailey in Wallins, Kentucky.  Retired from the State of Kentucky where he served as a hearing officer, he was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II, and a Kentucky Colonel.  He served as a trustee and dedicated member of the First Pentecostal Church of Wallins.  He was a 32 degree Master Mason; he was past master of Wallins, Masonic Lodge 666.  He was a Shiner with the Oleika Temple in Lexington.  He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he studied Geology.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Anna M. Bailey.

Surviving are his children, Eric (Billie) Bailey of Wallins, Mark (Deborah) Bailey of Wallins, Paula Stockhecke of Minier, Illinois, and David Cerra of Alabama; and grandchildren, Tiffany Maggard, Alexis Cerra, Erica DeMaro, Tara Posey, Matthew Bailey, Austin and Bailey Stockhecke; five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Laws and Jones Funeral home.  The Rev. Cecil Hensley will officiate the services. Masonic rites will be observed by the Wallins Masonic Lodge F & AM.

Interment will follow in the Blanton-Bailey Cemetery in Wallins, Kentucky.  Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Military rites will be observed by the Harlan Honor Guard.
