Ova Ray Petrey

Ova Ray, 80, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
Born in Rockholds, KY he was a retired mailman for the USPS and an Air Force Veteran. Ray was a member of Ninth & O Baptist Church. He was also a Mason, Shriner, KY Colonel, and a member of the Kentuckiana Squares and Rounds.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys Petrey; and two brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife, the former Mary Johnson; sons, Tim Petrey (Chantel) and Garnett Petrey; daughter, Elizabeth Priddy (Greg); eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Debbie Marasa; four step-granchildren; three brothers, Earl Petrey of Loyall, KY, Eldon Petrey of Sandusky, OH, and Clifford Petrey of Killeen, TX; and four sisters, Mae Fallon of Crossville, TN, Beulah Faye Akers of Crossville, TN, Pauline Hall  of Loudon, TN, and Anna Sue Trombley of Toledo, OH.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Ninth & O Baptist Church, 4401 Breckenridge Ln. with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Friday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
