Orville Nolan
February 20, 1943 — August 13, 2015
Orville Lee Nolan, 72 of Baxter, Kentucky passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at his residence. A native of Harlan, Kentucky he was the son of the late Orville Nolan and Flossie Woods Laws.
Orville was retired from the U.S. Marine Corp; he was a licensed Pilot and a SCUBA diver; and he volunteered for the Harlan County Rescue Squad. Most of all Orville was a loving husband, wonderful father and good Poppy.
Surviving are his loving wife Lorenne Nolan of Baxter; children, Lynn (Ed) Nolan Loudermelt of Claiborne County, TN, April (Dustin) Johnson of Loyall, and Leigh (Larry) Nolan-Fultz of Harlan; grandchildren, Ian Edward Loudermelt, Rachel Nolan Loudermelt, Brianna Thomas, Abby Leighanna Ray, Emilee Rose Nolan, Haleigh Ann Nolan Fultz, and Noah Patrick Johnson.
Also surviving are special brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ronnie and Peggy Weaver, JoAnn and Larry Dawson, Ceasar and Bonnie Weaver, Tommy and Alice Weaver, Jimmy Weaver, Terry and Judy Weaver, and Lois and Norman Wiggins.
At Orville’s request all services were private at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
