Mildred "Mickey" Adkins

Mildred L. “Mickey” Adkins, 89 of Harlan passed away peacefully on Friday morning of October 12, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Adkisson officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY. Pallbearers will be Travis Hundley, Darrell Harris, Bill Blanton, Thomas Adkins, Tim Vaughn, and Darcy Harris. Honorary Pallbearer is Tristan Vaughn.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 after 12:00 pm until the funeral hour at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Mickey was born September 27, 1929 in Harlan Co., KY. She was retired from Belk Department Store where she worked in the shoe department. She was an avid UK wildcat fan. She loved her family especially her grandkids, great grandkids, and great- great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Offie Hundley; her husband,  Wayne Adkins;  brothers, Carlus and Claude Hundley; infant sister, Gloria Hundley; and grandson, Nick Adkins.

She’s survived by her children, Teresa (Darrell) Harris, and Jerry (Laurie) Adkins; grandchildren, Micole (Tim) Vaughn, Darcy Harris, Thomas (Sarah) Adkins; great grandchildren, Tristan Vaughn and Shelby Holland and 1 on the way; great-great grandchildren, Geovanni Otero; brothers, Roy (Irene) Hundley, Phillip and Gary Hundley; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives; special sister-in-laws; Sue Cunningham and Jean Carmony; special friend & caregiver, Jody Harris.
