Melvin D. Nolan 82 of Coldiron, KY passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday morning of January 22, 2026.
Melvin was born July 26, 1943 in Harlan Co., KY to the late Denver and Fannie Middleton Nolan. He was a retired coal miner, loved the Lord and believed in the Holiness Faith.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Alline Bailey Nolan; his brothers, Foil, HL and Sheridan Nolan; his sisters, Mossie Gross, Opal Lee Napier, Vivian Nolan and Gladys Adkins.
He is survived by his 7 children, Jennifer Nolan, Donna (Rick) Jordan, Regina (Randy) Stanton, Cheryl (Paul) Saylor, Doug Nolan, Brad Nolan and Angela Turner; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; his sisters, Margaret Cornn, Martha Yount, Muriel (Jim) Lambert, Barbara (Mick) Ruffino; his brother, Bill Nolan; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Tuesday (Jan. 27) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Bo Cornn and Bro. Travis Gross officiating.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice) nurse Alli Simpson and to Aaliyah Combs for her loving and tender care of our father. Thanks also to a special nephew Denver Gross who visited him faithfully.
