Marylou Williams Yaden

  Marylou Williams Yaden, 93, of Cumberland, KY was born on April 27, 1930, and left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2023. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. 
  She was a life-long resident of Cumberland, Kentucky. She was a strong woman of faith and a devoted member of Cumberland Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Financial Secretary, Youth Sunday School Director and Sunday School teacher, and loved singing in the church choir. She had a heart for missions that started as a preschooler in Sunbeams to leading mission groups. Her greatest legacy was becoming Director of WMU in 1979, a job she cherished and held until her passing. 
  Marylou was a former beautician and teacher's aide, but her greatest role was being a housewife who devoted her life to caring for her husband and children. Her love for her family showed in many ways, but mostly through her prayers. She was caring, loving, and funny, and was known for having a quick wit and a feisty side. Her laugh would fill a room and will be greatly missed.
  She was married to her high school sweetheart, Robert (Bob) Yaden, for 62 years. They were blessed with four children: Wayne Yaden and wife, Janette; Karen Sturgill and husband, Chuck; Lynn Jones and husband, David; and Mark Yaden and wife, Janice. Marylou is survived by 11 grandchildren, Tina Yaden, Tera Brown, Shay Blevins, Matt Jarvis, Brad Sturgill, Philip Jones, Brent Jones, Shelly Taylor, Jacqueline Galloway, Christy Morgan, and Eddie Craig; 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, a special niece, Lyna Cornett, and special friends, Shirley Craig and Mary Lou White.
  She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, Paul and Leeta Williams, a grandson, Clint Sturgill, and a sister, Betty Fields.
  Visitation will be on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Cumberland Missionary Baptist Church, 408 Spring St, Cumberland, KY 40823.
  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the Church with Rev. Philip Jones and Rev. Todd Hatfield officiating.       Burial will follow in the Huff Cemetery in Cumberland where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Bob, with her grandsons serving as Pallbearers.
