Obituary

Marshall Pace, 84, of Harlan KY, departed this life on Wednesday April 29, 2026 at the Harlan Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Born on May 20, 1941, he was the son of the late Frank and Dolly Pace. He attended Hall High School and Red Bird Mission School. He was a proud member of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany in the 1960's.

His employment was with Ford Motor Co. and aluminum Finishing Co. in Indianapolis, Indiana. Marshall was an avid reader and a dedicated fan of U.K. basketball and a Kentucky Colonel. Marshall was an honest man, genuine, and sincere, unpretentious.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Frank Jr. and John, sisters, Louella, Jeanette, Helen, and Ollie Sue.

Survivors include one brother, Ted Pace Sr (Barbara), and one sister, Lillie June Britton (John), Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Special thanks to everyone who assisted him during his illness.

Graveside services will be conducted at Smith Cemetery in Smith, KY on Saturday May 2, 2026 at 11:00 am with Rev. Spencer Burkhart officiating.

Military rites will be performed by the Harlan Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be submitted to the Harlan Honor Guard at PO Box 704 Baxter, KY 40806. In memory of Marshall Pace.

Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
