Marian Morgan

Marian Morgan, 73 of Putney passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Harlan ARH. Marian was born Nov. 13, 1942 in Rosspoint, KY to the late Fred and Audrey Johnson Espy. She resided many years in Virginia Beach, VA and retired from the City of Virginia Beach. She returned home to Harlan Co. over 8 years ago. She believed in the Baptist faith and attended Sunshine Baptist Church.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Franklin Morgan; 2 brothers Fred Espy, Jr. and William Espy.
She is survived by her sisters, Marie Clem of Putney, and Dessie (Duane) Smith of Tennessee; brothers, Tom (Louise) Espy of Michigan, and Philip Espy of Wisconsin; she leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives to mourn her passing.
Private visitation was held on Thursday, (Jan. 6) at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Burial was held in 2:00 pm Monday (Jan. 11) at the Princess Anne Memorial Park, in Virginia Beach, VA.
Memorials are suggested to the Sunshine Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Morgan.
