Obituary

Lotheda “Kandi” Perry, age 58, born February 7, 1968, in Harlan, Kentucky, entered into her eternal rest on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kandi was a woman who was impossible to forget. Known for her beautiful smile, contagious laughter, quick wit, and larger-than-life personality, she had a special way of bringing joy to those around her. She was funny, stubborn, and outspoken, and you never had to wonder what Kandi was thinking because she was sure to tell you. She loved deeply, laughed wholeheartedly, and lived life on her own terms.

Behind that stubborn streak was a woman of remarkable strength and determination. Kandi possessed an unwavering will to never give up, even when life presented its greatest challenges. She was a fighter in every sense of the word, facing adversity with courage, resilience, and a spirit that refused to be broken.

Kandi was of the Christian faith and attended New Life Church. Her faith was an important part of her life, providing strength and hope throughout her journey. Though her earthly journey has ended, her family finds comfort in the promise of eternal life and the beautiful reunion awaiting her in Heaven.

Kandi had a love for crafts and enjoyed creating things with her hands. But of all the things she created throughout her lifetime, nothing compared to the family she built and the love she poured into them.

Being a mom was her job, but being a granny was her greatest accomplishment.

Her daughters were her pride and joy, but her grandchildren held an especially precious place in her heart. Being their granny was a role she treasured above all others. They were her happiness, her laughter, and some of the greatest blessings of her life. The memories they made together and the love she gave so freely will remain with them forever.

Kandi was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud granny, sister, and friend. She was the kind of woman who could make you laugh when you least expected it, tell you exactly what she thought whether you wanted to hear it or not, and love you fiercely through it all. Her stubbornness was part of her charm, her laughter was unforgettable, and her strength was something to be admired.

Waiting to welcome her into Heaven were her beloved father, John Henry Saylor; her mother, Bessie Saylor; and her brother-in-law, Robbie Godfrey.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, James Perry; her two daughters, Savanna Wynn and Sierra Crow; her favorite (and only) son-in-law, Shawn Crow; and her stepdaughter, Brionna Douglas.

She also leaves behind her brother, Johnny Saylor; sister-in-law, Zula Saylor; and sister, Lynette Campbell. and her lifelong best friend, Sherry Baird, whose friendship was a treasured part of Kandi’s life.

Her six precious grandchildren, Aymanni Wynn, Peyshaunce Wynn, Shaedyn Crow, Saylor Crow, Sawyer Crow, and Sarai Douglas, will forever carry the love, laughter, and memories of their granny in their hearts.

Kandi also leaves behind her two beloved puppies, Weezy and Igzactly, who brought her companionship, happiness, and unconditional love.

Kandi's life was a beautiful reminder that strength doesn't always come quietly, love doesn't always come softly, and sometimes the biggest hearts belong to those with the strongest personalities.

She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, countless reasons to smile, and a family who will forever be grateful to have called her theirs.

Her smile was beautiful. Her laughter was contagious. Her opinions were never a secret. Her love was unconditional. And her fighting spirit was undeniable.

Though her family must now learn to live without her earthly presence, they will forever carry her strength in their hearts, her laughter in their memories, and her love in everything they do.

She fought her battles, she kept her faith, and she never gave up.

And while Heaven has gained a beautiful soul, this world has lost a woman who was truly one of a kind.

Rest peacefully, Momma. Your fight is over, your work here is done, and your love will live on forever.

Visitation will be on Sunday November 1 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Anderson Laws & Jones Funeral Home.

Memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel at Anderson Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Brother Frank Shope officiating.
