Lonnie Fultz

Lonnie Fultz, 73 of Harlan formerly of Hyden, KY passed away Sunday afternoon of August 3, 2025 at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation.

Lonnie was born February 7, 1952 in Hyden to the late Elbert and Viola Caldwell Fultz. He was a 1970 graduate of Leslie Co. High School; he was avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing. He was a retired coal miner and logger all of his life.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Dustin Johnson; grandson, Cody Lee Fultz; nephew, Cody Kyle Fultz.

Surviving is his wife of 26 years, Laura Fultz of Harlan; sons, Larry and Lonnie Fultz, Jr of Virginia; daughters, Nancy Thomas of Barbourville and Brandi Marlow of Harlan; brother Larry Fultz of Bledsoe; sister, Leola (Ronnie) Caldwell of Bledsoe; 2 special grand daughters, that he raised as his own, Jasmine and Hope Johnson along with 11 additional grandchildren. He leaves a host of other relatives and friends including 2 special friends, Al Jones along with his hunting and fishing buddy, Brandon Marlow.

Per his wishes, no services will be held at this time. A celebration of life service will be held at the time of burial at the Fultz Family Cemetery in Bledsoe, KY.
