Lee Laws

Kitts-Lee Arnold Laws, 80 of Kitts, KY went to his heavenly home on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at the Harlan ARH, after a brief illness.

Lee was a well known resident of Harlan Co.,  he was married to the Late Brenda Sue Laws on Aug. 29, 1957 and only preceded him in death earlier this year on Jan. 12, 2014. He was a retired coal miner and wonderful & caring father, grandfather, and great grandfather whom loved his family and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Brenda Sue Laws; his parents, Frank Laws and  Bessie Laws Clem; his brothers, Floyd, Frank, and Philip Laws; sisters, Maxine McGill, Trelma Thomas, Helen Dickey, and Bonnie Cash; a daughter, Susan Marie Laws.

He is survived by his 3 sons, Michael (Cathy) Laws of Kitts, Dale (Sally) Laws of Calvin, and Mickey Laws of Kitts; 5 grandchildren, Aaron (Danielle) Laws, Amanda Laws and fiancé, Josh Adams, Leanna (Corey) Miller, Travis Laws and Catherine Laws. 2 great grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Kaitlyn Raeann Miller and Nelliel Sophitia Adams; 1 sister, Ruby Skeens of Grundy, VA; 1 brother, Fred Laws of Toledo, OH.

Visitation will be held Monday (Dec. 15) from 5 until 8:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home and after 12:00 pm Tuesday until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday (Dec. 16) in the Chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Hensley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith.

Pallbearers will be Travis Laws, Corey “Sam” Miller, Eugene Douglas, Gary Laws and Bob Muncy.

The family would like to thank Dr. A. Dahhan, Tri-Cities Health & Rehabilitation, Harlan ARH, and the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home for the wonderful care given to the Lee and his entire family. You will forever be in our thoughts and prayers.
