Lanell Patricia Haywood Morgan, 61 of Wallins passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday April 4, 2018.
Lanell was born December 14, 1956 to Oscar and Evelyn Martin Haywood. She was retired secretary having worked for the Army Corp of Engineers, Employment Services for the State of Kentucky, and last at the Southeast Community College Bell Co. Campus.
She is preceded in death by her father, Oscar Haywood; husband, Jimmy Morgan, Jr; brothers, Oscar Haywood, Jr, and Jerry Haywood; grandmothers, Mellie Martin and Nella Haywood.
She is survived by her son, James Brian Morgan; her mother, Evelyn Patricia Haywood; sisters, Lanola (Harold) Parsons and Lanette Pace; brother-in-law, Troy Morgan; nieces & nephews, Amy (Josh) Brashears, Justin Pace, Kimberly Elizabeth (Robert) Carr, and Matt Morgan; great nieces and nephews, Tucker, Quinton, Gavin & Reagan Carr; special caregivers, Debbie Slusher Brock, Sharon Helton, Pat Griffey, Teresa Gray, and Linda Gail Fisher.
Visitation will be Friday (April 6) from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel with Bro. Jim Johnson officiating. Music will be provided by Sandy Hendrickson
Graveside services will be held on Saturday (April 7) at 11:00 am in the Garrett Cemetery in Sawbriar. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 am to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Troy Morgan, Bill Bloomer, Robert Haywood, Jerry Goldsberry, Jim Smith, Wayne Brock, Tim Goodin, Darrell Goodin, and Jackie SImpson.
