Kenneth "Kenman" Hopkins

Kenneth Lane Hopkins (Kenman) was born December 7, 1963, and was a native of Harlan County. He was called to home on Saturday evening of April 29, 2023 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, KY, after battling kidney failure.
Mr. Hopkins was preceded in death by his father, the late James Devont Osborne and his daughter Teonjewelnique Hopkins.  He served his county by joining the National Guard at the age of 18.  He stayed with the Guard for over 8 years until he moved to Lexington, KY where he began doing commercial painting.   He later moved back to Harlan county due to his illness.
He was a wonderful son, brother, father, and grandfather. He was loved by everyone who came in contact with him.  He leaves behind his mother, Mariola Hopkins Osborne; a special friend of 13 years,  Amy Bynum of Harlan; four brothers, Brad Hopkins (Jessica), Bryant Hopkins, James Devont Osborne, Demetrice Osborne; three sisters, Jacquetta Hollingsworth (Maurice), Gwendolyn Hopkins, and Delynia Osborne.  he also leaves his children to cherish his memory, Kennon Napier (Hopkins), TeKenisha (Aaron) Davis, Kentayrus, Terlandus, Kenneth Hopkins and a host of bonus children that he adored dearly as if they were his own; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends to mourn his passing. The family of Kenneth Hopkins wishes to express our sincere appreciation for prayers, cards, flowers, food, condolences, and other expressions of kindness extended to us during this time of bereavement.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm Friday (May 5) at the Mount Olive Baptist Church with Homegoing services beginning at 2:00 pm at the Church with Rev. Darryl Washington presiding.
Cremation will follow the funeral services by the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home of Harlan.
