Judith Asher, 75. of Harlan passed away at her residence following a brief illness. Born in Tennessee, she lived in Harlan most of her life. She attended the Sunshine Baptist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (OES) of Harlan.

  She is preceded in death by her parents Otha and Mary Daughtery Lowe, her brothers George, Robert, and Andrew Lowe. Her husband James (Jim) Asher, and her beloved daughter Mary Theresa Asher.

  Judith is survived by her two sons Otha James Asher of Indiana and Noah Asher wife Michelle of Sevierville, TN. She leaves behind seven grandchildren Brendan Asher, Allison Milford husband Junior, Ellison Bradley Asher, Leanna Tobash husband Matthew, Courtney McCarthy husband Wil, Taylor Asher, and Shanisa Williams. 12 Great Grandchildren including Faeryn Asher who she raised like her own. She is also survived by her sister Theresa Womble, sister-in-laws Sandra Asher and Willie Mae Asher, A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

  Visitation will be 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm Saturday (August 1) at Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home.

 Funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm Saturday (August 1) in the chapel at the Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home with pastor Travis Moore. Eastern Star Rites will be observed by Harlan Chapter OES
