Johnnie Lee Saylor

Johnnie Lee Saylor, 79 of Coldiron, KY passed from this life on Saturday August 30, 2025 at his home.

Johnnie was born August 7, 1946 to the late Joseph (Joe) and China Hensley Saylor. Johnnie had worked as a coal miner, after that he went into business for himself doing contracting work. For many years Johnnie served with the Wallins and Coldiron Fire Departments.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillie Mae Saylor; daughter, Melanie Renee Saylor; brothers, Carr B., Harold, Radford and Earl Saylor; his sister, Verlin Faye Zugay.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Jeff) Johnson of Newbern, TN; sister, Kaye (Murphy) Nolan of Coldiron; six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including his buddie's with the Hardee's breakfast crew.

Visitation will be 11 - 1 Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ray Stepp officiating.

Burial will follow in the Park Howard Cemetery at Wallins where he will be laid to rest beside of his wife and daughter.

Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
