John Dawson White

John Dawson White Jr., 67, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. John was born on December 15, 1957, in Harlan, Kentucky to the late John Dawson and Bessie Brown White. He earned two degrees from the University of Kentucky, in Electrical Engineering and Business. John worked as a coal miner and for Chappel’s Dairy, prior to attending the University of Kentucky and most recently worked as an Electrical Engineer for American Electric Power.

He is survived by his wife, Debra White; son, John Dawson White III; grandchildren, Julienne Geneva White and Leah Elizabeth White; sister, Vickie White (Anthony Lee) Watkins; nephews, Tony (Kate) Watkins and David Andrew (Mary) Watkins; great nephew and nieces, John Dawson Watkins, Charlotte Watkins and Dorothy Watkins; sister-in-law, Pamela Ann Clem; brother-in-law, Dennis (Jennifer) Farmer; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Peggy Ann Lee; and brother-in-law, Beau Clem.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 3PM at Faith Memorial Church (2610 W Fair Ave, Lancaster, OH 43130) with Pastor Jonathan Morgan officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 1PM-3PM.

Arrangements are being handled through the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME.
