John E. Carroll

John E. Carroll, 63 of Cawood passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.

John was born October 23, 1961 in Middlesboro, KY to the late Rufus and Vanetta Joyce Carroll. He worked many years as coal miner, but retired as a truck driver. He was a Christian and loved 4-Wheeling.

He is survived by his son Bryan (Kayla) Carroll; grandson, Brayden Carroll; his brother, Michael (Amy Million) Carroll; sisters, Jeanette (Tommy) Overton and Rosie Overton; he leaves a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. A closing prayer service will be at 7:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Franklin Stewart.
