Jerry Lewis, 72 of Bledsoe, Kentucky passed away on Friday morning, May 9, 2025 at the Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Jerry was born on August 19, 1953 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the late Orie Lewis and Fannie Mae Caldwell Lewis Helton. He worked many years strip mining at Straight Creek Mining. After leaving the mines, he was a truck driver for many different jobs. Jerry was also an avid fisherman.
Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Russell, his brother-in-law, Bob Knuckles, and his step-father, Jack Helton.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judy Lewis, his daughter, Jerrica (Bradley) Stephens, his grandchildren, Braylynn, Cameron, Aiden, and Paisley Stephens, his brothers, Johnny and Jackie Lewis, and his sisters, Jeanette Knuckles, Sue (Phil) Shockney, and Betty Ann (Paul) Muncy. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be on Monday (May 12) from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday (May 13) at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Asher officiating.
Burial will follow the funeral services at the Caldwell Cemetery in Leslie County, Kentucky.
