Jenine "Ninnie" Howard

Jenine "Ninnie" Howard, 79 of Harlan passed away in the early morning hours on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the Harlan ARH.
Jenine was born November 29, 1941 in Pineville, KY to the late Vernon and Juanita Castle Howard. She was a retired Teacher from the Harlan Independent School system. After retiring she ran the family business, V & J Pawn Shop in Harlan. She was a devoted member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother in law, Sonny Gergely; niece, Becky Akin; and many friends.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Brenda Gergely; niece, Rachel (Mike) Hensley; nephew, Alex Gergely; she leaves so many friends who were like family to her.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday (May 27) at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Arnold Martin officiating and Bro. Danny Lawson speaking. Music will be provided by Mrs. Janice Lawson.
Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Baptist Church, 550 Upper Elcomb Drive, Harlan, KY 40831in memory of Jenine.
