James Nelson Walker, Sr., 51 of Harlan, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
James was born on August 1, 1972 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Leland Walker and Edith Spurlock Helton. He worked in the coal mines for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Leland Walker and Edith Spurlock Helton.
He is survived by his wife; Amanda Pace Walker, his children; James Walker, Jr., Leland Walker, and Kyleigh Smith, his step-father; Bruce Helton, mother-in-law; Evelyn Galloway, brother; Leland Walker, sisters; Emily Walker and Kimberly Robinson, and step-sisters; Andria Helton and Jenny Helton.
Cremation was chosen by the family, and all services will be private.
