James D. Brock

James D. Brock, 64 of Ravenna, KY formerly of Coldiron passed away on Thursday September 4, 2025 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY.

James was born October 14, 1960 in Harlan to Shirley Long Brock and the late James M. Brock. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his beloved father, James M. Brock; infant sister, Ruby Jean Brock; mother in law & father in law, Jacqueline Clem McKenzie and George McKenzie; several aunts and uncles.

Those left behind to mourn his passing are his wife of 39 years, Wilma Kay Brock; his mother, Shirley Long; daughter, Lindsay (Jordan) DeBord; two grandchildren, Carlisle Gideon and his "best buddy" Jacqueline Rose; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Hospice Care Plus and the Compassionate Care Center of Richmond, KY for their exceptional care, comfort and support.

Visitation will be 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home, 114 S. 3rd Street, Harlan, KY 40831.

Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Fisher officiating.

Burial will follow in the Long Cemetery at Happy Top, KY.
