Jacquelyn Mayfield, 85 of Baxter passed away on the early morning of Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Tri Cities Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born January 12, 1933 in Harlan to the late Edgar and Susie Ivey Miller, she was a devoted and loving wife and mother, who believed in the Baptist Faith.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by husband of 43 years, Clayton Mayfield; four brothers, O.J., Edgar, Bill and Eldon Miller; and one sister, Geneva Ledford.
Jackie is survived by two loving sons, Leslie (Judy) Mayfield and Jeff Mayfield both of Harlan; one sister, Betty Tipton.
Visitation will be Monday (Oct. 8) from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Rouse officiating. Music will be provided by Terry Harris and Vickie Ball.
In keeping with her wishes, burial at the Resthaven Cemetery, Keith, KY will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials are made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans Lane Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284 in memory of Jackie.
