Jackie Darlene Jenkins Franks, 68 of Cawood, KY left this life on May 21, 2025 in the comfort of her daughter's home in Pennington Gap, VA.

She entered this world April 7, 1957 and resided in Cawood, Kentucky until a few months before her death. Jackie was a homemaker who raised 3 children and enjoyed caring for those around her. She was of Pentecostal Faith.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Louella Haynes Jenkins and James Roscoe Jenkins; 2 brothers, Jerry Patton "JP" Jenkins and John Daniels Jenkins; a sister, Joy Faye Jenkins; and a nephew, John Daniel "Danny" Jenkins.

She is survived by her children, Crystal Franks Engle and husband Danzel of Pennington Gap, VA; Jamie Franks Smith and husband Robert of Cawood, KY; and David Joseph "DJ" Franks; 1 granddaughter, Erin Engle of Pennington Gap, VA and fiance Hunter Smith of Wallins, KY; 2 brothers, James "Sonny" Jenkins and fiance Liz "Peep" Pace of Cawood, KY, and Joe Jenkins and wife Annie of Cawood, KY; along with a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be after 5:00 PM on Friday (May 23) until the funeral hour at Riverside Baptist Church in Smith, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday (May 24) at 1:00 PM at Riverside Baptist Church in Smith, Kentucky with Roger Clem officiating.

Burial will follow funeral services on Saturday (May 24) in the Jenkins Family Cemetery at Cawood, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
