Henry Rutherford, 68, from Hulen, Ky passed away July 29th at his home after a long illness. He as surrounded by his family as he left his earthly life and transitioned to his eternal life peacefully.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lindey Rutherford, a precious son Jeff Rutherford, brothers R.E. Rutherford, George Hensley, Fred Rutherford, Noah Rutherford, J.D. Rutherford, Ralph Rutherford, J.C. Rutherford and Gary Rutherford. Sisters Mary Johnson and Bertha Simpson Harbin.

  He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Martha Craig Rutherford. Son Brandon Rutherford (Katrina), Daughter Cynthia Daniels (Brian Hale). Sisters Loretta (Lester) Bingham, Lola (Donnie) Hickman, Charlene Boger and Ruby Houck. Brother Ommer (Linda) Rutherford. His grandchildren Lindey (Christian) Carr, Valerie (Kayleigh Gambrel) Rutherford, and FInely Rutherford. Great grandchildren Jeffrey John Carr, Maddilynn Ann Carr, Addilynn Blackburn, Harmony Blackburn, Conner Blackburn and Emma Blackburn. Also Surviving are a multitude of family.

  Henry believed in the Baptist faith. He was a Coal Miner for 21 years, a school bus driver for Bell Co. Schools, for both school children and the sports teams. He was the equipment manager for the Bell County Football team for 43 years. His last season was the fall of 2025.

  Per Henry's request, Henry was cremated through Anderson Laws & Jones Funeral Home. Services will be held on Sunday August 2, 2026 at Solid Rock House of Prayer in Coldiron, KY with Rev. James Earl Hensley officiating.

  Visitations are 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (Family).  1:00 pm - 2:00pm (Friends). Memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm.
